On April 16, 2021, DJ Marcel db his debut album „Metamorphose“ see the light of the techno universe.
The founding of his own label „Akustikkuss“ with the Munich DJs Gizo & Mac was the
hour of birth for numerous joint projects in 2019.
He’s already one of the most famous Berlin DJs and almost like turntable inventory
of the KitKatClub. At the famous and infamous „Revolver Party“ is he’s even a resident DJ. His greatest successes so far are certainly his Gig in the Berghain canteen as well as his spectacular tours through Turkey.
Marcel db is not just a DJ – that would certainly be too boring in the long run for his extroverted creativity. He curates and designs at the CSDs in the DACH region, the most elaborate, beautiful and stylish trucks – preferably in his beloved Berlin, of course.
At the CSD 2017 he designed the trucks for well-known Brands like “Dildoking”,
so that in the end five trucks with its uniq Marcel db-Style trailers drove over the parade. From the first screw to the large LED-Wall on the rolling party domains, the musician has everything in view.
The all-rounder can also count on prominent support. During its live streaming events in summer 2020 Marcel db performed from the Auerbach Rooftop into the whole world,

„I love my Berlin KitKatClub,“ he explains.
“I love Berlin’s nightlife as a whole and that freedom that you can enjoy here.
When I’m at the DJ-booth get started, for me this is the greatest freedom one can finde. This is the only place where I can really switch off and make my fans dance.
And that in turn is the best feeling. „
Marcel db stands for electronic dance music of its very own kind, which is characterised by melodic and varied sets.
Early on he gave himself up to extraordinary musical influences; electronic
sounds in particular cast a spell over him.
His repertoire ranges from deep house to techno to minimal.
He hits the nerve of the audience, according to the references, not just in flesh
and blood with the utmost precision.
But also the numerous followers. After almost two decades as a DJ and organizer,

Whatever part of the world his path led him to, he always brought back new influences that the enriched musical diversity. A tour to Japan, for example, inspired him to the track Asakusa, which brings old Tokyo back to life. His successful tours through Turkey also proved to be a fertile breeding ground for his work.
He describes the creation process of „Metamorphosis“ as follows: „I followed my belief that metamorphosis and freedom is one of the most important things in life, hence the name of the album. Develop like a caterpillar to a butterfly, develop further or even disguise yourself, just be free on the dance floor when the bass hits.
In this spirit everything was created. „

Am 16. April 2021 lässt DJ Marcel db sein Debüt-Album „Metamorphose“ das Licht des Techno-Universums erblicken.
Die Gründung seines eigenen Labels „Akustikkuss“ mit den Münchner
DJs Gizo & Mac war 2019 die Geburtsstunde zahlreicher gemeinsamer Projekte. Als einer der bekanntesten Berliner DJs gehört er schon fast zum Turntable-Inventar des KitKatClubs.
Bei der berühmten und berüchtigten „Revolver-Party“ ist er sogar Resident DJ. Seine bisher größten Erfolge sind aber sicherlich sein Gig im Berghain Kantine sowie seine spektakulären Touren durch die Türkei.
Marcel db ist aber nicht nur DJ – das wäre dem Creative sicherlich auf Dauer zu langweilig. Er kuratiert und konzipiert auf den CSDs in der DACH-Region, die aufwändigsten, schönsten und stilvollsten Trucks – am liebsten natürlich in seinem so geliebten Berlin.
Auf dem CSD 2017 gestaltet er die Trucks für namenhafte Marken wie „Dildoking“,
sodass letztlich fünf Zugmaschinen mit seinen Anhängern über die Parade fuhren. Von der ersten Schraube bis zur großen LED-Wand an den rollenden Partydomänen hat der Musiker alles im Blick.
Auf prominente Unterstützung kann der Allrounder ebenso bauen.
Während seinen Livestreaming-Events im Sommer 2020 legte Marcel db aus dem Auerbach Rooftop in die ganze Welt auf, vor Ort mit dabei: Desirée Nick.
„Ich liebe meinen Berliner KitKatClub“, erklärt er.
„Ich liebe das Berliner Nachtleben insgesamt und die
Freiheit, die man hier genießen kann. Wenn ich am DJ-Pult loslege, ist das für mich die größte Freiheit, die man haben kann.
Das ist der einzige Ort, an dem ich wirklich abschalten und meine Fans zum Tanzen bringen kann. Und das wiederum ist das beste Gefühl.“
Marcel db steht für elektronische Tanzmusik ihrer ganz eigenen Prägung, die durch melodische und abwechslungsreiche Sets gekennzeichnet ist.
Schon früh gab er sich außergewöhnlichen musikalischen Einflüssen hin;
besonders elektronische Klänge zogen ihn in ihren Bann.
Sein Repertoire reicht von Deep-House über Techno bis hin zu Minimal.
Den Nerv des Publikums trifft er, den Referenzen zufolge, nicht nur in Fleisch und Blut
in allerhöchster Präzision. Sondern auch die zahlreichen Follower auf Online-Plattformen wie SoundCloud, Spotify und in den sozialen Netzwerken https://linktr.ee/marceldb vermag er nach fast zwei Jahrzehnten als DJ und Veranstalter mit Leichtigkeit in Begeisterungsstürme und Ekstase zu versetzen.
In welchen Teil der Welt ihn sein Weg auch führte, brachte er stets neue Einflüsse
mit zurück, die die musikalische Vielfalt bereicherten.
Eine Tour nach Japan beispielsweise inspirierte ihn zum Track Asakusa, der das alte Tokio wieder auferstehen lässt. Auch seine erfolgreichen Touren durch die Türkei erwiesen sich als fruchtbarer Nährboden seines Schaffens.
Den Entstehungsprozess von „Metamorphose“ schildert er so:
„Ich folgte meiner Überzeugung, dass Verwandlung und Freiheit im Leben zu den wichtigsten Dingen zählen, daher der Name des Albums.
Sich entfalten wie die Raupe zum Schmetterling, sich weiterentwickeln oder auch verkleiden, einfach frei sein auf der Tanzfläche, wenn der Bass einschlägt.
In diesem Geiste war alles entstanden.“
